    UBEO Business Services, the premier provider of business technology products and services, is seeking to hire a Controller to join our team in Chico, CA.

    UBEO is a distributor/servicer of document equipment and software solutions. Primary products include Xerox, Ricoh, Canon and Konica Minolta multi-functional equipment and Kyocera printers. UBEO specializes in electronic document management software and integrations. 

    The primary responsibilities of this position is as follows:

    Department: Finance & Accounting
    Reports To: Director of Financial Operations
    FLSA Status: Full-Time / Exempt

    Purpose

    Under the direction of the Director of Financial Operations for UBEO West, this position will be responsible for oversight of day to day Finance and Accounting Operations. Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points. Activities including day to day functional oversight as well as Audit and business processes.


    Responsibilities

    • Plan, organize, monitor, and train the daily activities of the accounting team
    • Advance knowledge of all the duties in the office including deal processing, daily deposits, A/R, A/P.
    • Timely completion of month-end close and financial statement transmission & review
    • Process daily and monthly reports
    • Prepare monthly bank & finance reserve reconciliations
    • Oversee monthly Balance Sheet and Revenue account reconciliations
    • Oversee monthly and quarterly sales tax returns
    • Maintain internal controls and company processes and procedures
    • Ability to partner with functional VP’s and provide insight on department and expense variances and opportunities
    • Identify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.
    • Maintain an open and candid working relationship with the immediate manager in discussing matters of importance.
    • Adhere to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
    • Other duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications

    • 4- year college degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
    • Ten or more years of professional accounting experience
    • CPA or MBA preferred but not mandatory

    • Ability to talk on the phone and work with various computer tools and applications
    • Ability to type and compose written communication in various forms

    Remuneration for this role: $35,000 - $130,000 annually . Individual compensation packages are competitive and commensurate based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
