In this video, I'll demonstrate scanning to email using the basic screen on Konica machines.
From the homepage, click on Scan to Email. You have two windows. The left will show your destinations if you have addresses pre-registered. On the right are your settings, or you can add an address by clicking in the To field. If you would like to add an address to the address book, click on the book. This is a shortcut to the address book.
On the settings, at the very top, it shows the current settings. Click on one to change. This is currently in Auto Color. You can change it to Grayscale. Scan size is set to auto to detect the size that is in the feeder. Resolution is most commonly set for 300 dpi, but can be changed from 200 up to 600 dpi. [For] file type, the default is typical except for compact PDF, but you have options for regular PDF, compact PDF, TIFF, or JPG. [For] Duplex Settings, 1-sided is the default, or drop down your menu for 2-sided if you have a 2-sided original. [In] Document name, you can change the document name if you'd like. Separate Scan is used for job building if your originals exceed the capacity of the feeder, yet you still want the final product to be one PDF. [Then there is] Mixed Originals, and then Blank Page Removal. Currently I have 2-sided on. If you have a mix of 1- and 2-sided, turn on blank page removal, and you won't have the blanks in your PDF document. And then [there is] the Type of original. Reset clears back to the defaults. [Click] Start to begin scanning, and Stop if you need to stop your scan. Click on the homepage to return to home.
