Hello. Today we are going to be reviewing the print queue setup process for a Ricoh copier on a Chromebook. There are some items which you will need before starting. You will need the copier model, the copier IP address, and to have internet access.
To begin, you're going to open up these settings on the Chromebook. From here, you're going to navigate to Devices and then select Print, under Printers and Scanners. From here, you're going to select Add printer manually. From here, you're going to give a name for the device - this can be anything that you like; this is just the identifier. You can give it your office name or building, but for this demonstration we're going to give the name of the model. Next, you're going to provide the IP address, and finally you're going to select Protocol from the drop-down list as AppSocket (TCP/IP), and then choose Add. From here, you're going to select the Manufacturer and Model from the drop-down list. In this case, we're going to choose Ricoh and the model, which is our IM C3000.
If the model is not present in the list, you have one of two options. First, you can choose the model which is closest to your provided model. However, the functionality of the model listed may differ from yours. Or, you can choose the manufacturer as Generic, and then choose either Generic Color PCL 6 or Generic Grayscale PCL 6, depending on the functionality of your printer. In this case, we do have the model, so we will be selecting that.
After selecting the model, you're going to then choose Add. After it is done adding, you will see it in the list of printers here. Next, we are going to test printing. I have a print page here for testing, and you're going to choose Print. Under Destination, if you choose See more, you can see the device which was just added, and you can then choose Print.
From here, you should see a pop-up in the bottom right where you can select Print jobs, and you can see the device which was just added and the status of the job as printed. Thank you for watching. This will conclude the video.
