UBEO Business Services, the premier provider of business technology products and services, is seeking to hire a Shop Technician to join our team in Rocky Hill, CT.

UBEO is a distributor/servicer of document equipment and software solutions. Primary products include Xerox, Ricoh, Canon, HP and Kyocera printers. UBEO specializes in electronic document management software and integrations. 

Department: Supply Chain/Logistics
Reports To: Supply Chain Manager/Logistics/Warehouse Manager
FLSA Status: Full Time / Non-Exempt / Hourly

Purpose

Prepare and set up office equipment—including Ricoh, Canon, Xerox, Sharp, HP, Kyocera all brands and devices—for delivery to customers. 
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment as needed. 
Support warehouse operations including receiving, moving, and organizing equipment to maintain an efficient and clean workspace.

Essential Functions

• Assemble equipment to order specifications, including proper accessories and configurations. 
• Ability to lift up to 65lbs.
• Move heavier equipment as needed.
• Test equipment to verify full functionality prior to delivery. 
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues as needed. 
• Follow established departmental and company processes. 
• Meet established deadlines and adjust work schedule as needed. 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. 
• Assist with general warehouse operations as required. 
• Maintain proper inventory totals.
• Perform and operate all necessary platforms accurately.

Additional Responsibilities as Needed

• Assist with receiving and shipping equipment. 
• Move equipment, pallets, and skids safely within the warehouse. 
• Unbox and prepare equipment for setup. 
• Shrink-wrap equipment for delivery. 
• Remove and properly dispose of packaging and trash. 
• Ensure aisles and work areas always remain clear and accessible. 
• Work overtime as needed, including occasional weekends. 

Qualifications

• Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical education preferred
  • 1–2 years of warehouse experience preferred
  • Mechanical and/or electronic aptitude required; prior equipment or copier experience a plus
• Strong attention to detail

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with service/technical platforms (UBEO experience a plus)
